Hi, I’m Yatri, a visual designer who enjoys building thoughtful brand systems, expressive typography, and design that occasionally moves.
My work sits somewhere between brand identity, editorial design, and motion, with a soft spot for clean structure, strong type, and visuals that tell a clear story.
Currently, I’m a publication designer at the Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario, where I design editorial layouts, campaigns, and accessible publications that help communicate big ideas clearly.
Before design school, I studied engineering, which probably explains my love for systems, structure, and figuring out how things work.
Outside of design, I am usually doing one of three things: travelling somewhere new, reading fantasy novels, or trying a hobby I have recently convinced myself I am good at.
I love being outdoors. Hiking, skating, and cycling are some of my favourite ways to reset and recharge. I try to approach life with curiosity, optimism, and a willingness to try things that might not work the first time.
I am also a fairly social person and always happy to connect over a coffee chat, talk design, or exchange book recommendations.
Good design is serious work.
Luckily, the designer does not always have to be.
